Lately I’ve been drawn towards a dark and moody vibe for my photography. I believe it’s a reflection of where my life is at the moment. I feel that I’m lost, looking for meaning in life, looking for purpose, finding myself. Photography is my way of escaping the chaos and coming to a place of peace. To be able to be me and share a moment with an amazing individual and create something beautiful. Finding the little things in life that makes me happy...
This shoot I was inspired by a music video I saw where the artists was wrapped in a sheer fabric moving gracefully in an all white room. It looked so elegant and peaceful that I had to remake it with my own interpretation of the idea. The model I selected for the shoot is Amanda Laguardia. I couldn’t have ask for a better model for this shoot. Just look for yourself, she is drop dead gorgeous. I chose to have her dress in three outfits, two sets of lingerie and a white flowy dress accompanied with two coats.
I knew I wanted the majority of my photos to be B&W. There’s something about dialing the blacks in a photo and having it be in B&W makes the photo so much more powerful. I want my viewers to be able to look at my photos and feel some sort of emotion. I want them to create their own interpretation of the shoot. I feel this shoot does that. The way her body is positioned, the way the light is touching her soft skin, the tones and silhouettes all create something special that I can’t explain. You just have to look for yourself.
